Four Leaf Clover Hunt

If you need a last minute St. Patrick’s day game this is for you! Sometimes our kiddo’s need a break to run around and get the wiggles out. I teach the after school sports on Tuesday and I have learned a lot this year about how to create a fun and engaging time for students and the main thing I have learned about the younger students is that they love to look for things! If it is a scavenger hunt they are 100% into it.

For St. Patrick’s Day around the corner I came up with a super fun game that can take 10 minutes or an hour depending on how much time you have. In my sports class we take about 40 minutes but for a class activity you could do this for 10 minutes to give your students a break and let them move around.

I create a google slide and found a four leaf clover outline and put 18 on a sheet. I then printed the sheet on a green piece of paper. Once it was printed I ran it through the laminating machine so that they would last for years and years. I cut them out and voila you have a game!

You can hide these around the room before school starts and when you see your students starting to get a bit antsy you can explain the rules, put a timer up, and play some music to let the wiggles out. You can even have them get into teams and teach them how to play as a team that day.

Let’s face it, we expect a lot of this little students who are expected to sit much longer than they want so giving them a brain break can be super fun and allow them to re focus and work even better afterwards.

Happy Teaching :)
